Term- Time - Only Option​​

• Term-time-only places are available, subject to availability.

• We follow the Richmond Borough school term dates for our term-time-only places

• Fully funded term-time-only places are available completely free of charge, subject to eligibility and availability.

• If you require an additional or different day outside our term-time dates, this can be arranged subject to availability and will be charged at our standard additional hourly rate, depending on your child’s age.

Term-Time-Only Places & Meals

Parents choosing a term-time-only place can also choose our optional meal package.

Our meal charges are:

• £10 per full day

• £6 per half day

Meals include breakfast, a freshly prepared lunch with pudding, healthy snacks and a light tea with pudding.

Meals are completely optional and are not required to access funded hours.

If parents choose not to take the meal package, children will still have access to fresh drinking water, milk, fruit and vegetables throughout the day.

Parents can also provide a packed lunch, in line with our Packed Lunch Policy.

Ad Hoc Additional Hours

Additional hours or days can be arranged on an ad hoc basis, subject to availability.

The cost depends on your child’s age and the number of hours you require.

Early Education and Childcare Entitlements

​We offer funded early education and childcare places for eligible children, including 15 and 30 hours of funded childcare.

Fully funded places are available completely free of charge on a term-time-only basis, subject to availability.

There is no requirement to purchase any additional services, meals or extras in order to access a fully funded place.

A fully funded place can be accessed without paying for any additional hours, meals or services.

Funded hours are available Monday to Friday within our opening hours.

Typical sessions include:

• Morning session: 8:00 – 13:00

• Afternoon session: 13:00 – 18:00

• Full day: 8:00 – 18:00

Funded hours are applied within your booked sessions. Any additional hours outside the funded entitlement are charged according to our fee structure.

Please note: Fully funded places are available on a term-time-only basis. All-year-round options using funded hours are also available – please see our fees above for details.

Monthly Payment Information​

• Payment reminder emails are sent 10 days before the payment due date.

• Fees are due by the 30th of each month. A £50 late payment fee will apply to payments received after the 1st of the following month.

• Fees remain payable during periods of absence, including illness and holidays.

• Bank Holidays are charged, although the nursery is closed on Bank Holidays.

• Fees are calculated over 51 weeks per year.

• Our annual fees are calculated over 51 weeks because the nursery closes for 5 working days between Christmas and New Year

 

Deposit Policy

• £300 deposit (£450 for siblings) is required to secure a place for paid and all-year-round places only.

• The deposit is deducted from the final month’s fees when:

• 2 months’ written notice has been given

• All payments are up to date

• The deposit is non-refundable if the child does not start at the nursery.

• Fully funded term-time-only places do not require a deposit.

 

Priority Booking & Sibling Discount

• Priority given to:

• Full-time children (5 days/week, 51 weeks/year)

• Siblings of current children

• Sibling discount: 10% for the eldest full-time sibling (depending on booked days)

Learning Through Play and Experiences

At Happy Kid’s Face Nursery, we believe that children learn best through play, exploration and meaningful everyday experiences. We provide a wide range of activities that support children’s learning, creativity, confidence, communication and physical development.

• Exercise sessions incorporating elements of yoga to support physical development, balance and mindfulness

• Musical exploration using instruments such as ukuleles, drums, keyboards and more

• Music and dancing sessions to encourage rhythm, movement and self-expression

• Baking activities that introduce measuring, counting and following simple instructions

• Singing and action songs to support language development, listening and coordination

• Opportunities to explore different languages through songs and simple words

• Arts and crafts, including texture exploration, collage making, puppets and storytelling

• Painting on a variety of surfaces to encourage creativity and artistic expression

• Outdoor play in our secure garden, including slides, sand and water play, bubbles, gardening and messy play

• Early writing activities and an introduction to phonics through Jolly Phonics

• Celebrating a variety of festivals and cultural events

• Mathematics activities focusing on numbers, counting and 2D and 3D shapes

• Regular messy play experiences, including rainbow pasta, coloured rice, foam bubbles, playdough and shaving foam

• Seasonal activities, including paddling pools, tent building, water play and picnics

• Introduction to age-appropriate technology, including cameras, CD players and computers

• Excursions to local parks, playgrounds and shops

• Visits to farms, theatres, pet shops and garden centres

• Special visits from firefighters and police officers, giving children opportunities to explore their equipment and vehicles

 

Events & Activities

We also offer a range of additional experiences throughout the year, including:

• Farm trips

• Theatre visits

• Visits to local places of interest

• Seasonal activities and celebrations

• Special visits and experiences at the nursery

Optional activities: Any trips or activities that involve an additional cost are optional. Costs, dates and participation details are communicated to parents in advance.

1. Check eligibility:

2. Apply online:

   • Apply for free childcare if you’re working

   • Receive a funding code

3. Submit to nursery:

   • Complete Parent Authorisation Form

   • Provide funding code, NI number, and child’s DOB

4. Keep code updated:

   • Codes must be reconfirmed regularly

   • Expired codes may stop funded hours
